🌿 ProblemHelperAI Weekly
Issue #1 · Theme: AI for customer service
Never miss a customer again |
Hi there,
Welcome to the first issue. Each week we pick one theme, one real problem, and one clear tool to fix it. No hype, no 50-tool lists. This month starts with the thing that quietly costs small businesses the most: customers who reach out and never hear back. |
Problem of the week Missed calls are missed revenue |
| Most callers who hit voicemail don't leave a message. They call the next business on the list. If you're on a job, with a client, or closed for the night, that's a lead gone. |
|
Our top pick
Smith.ai
Because it gives you live receptionists plus AI that answer, qualify and book your callers 24/7, so nobody ends up in voicemail. Want something cheaper and fully automated? Look at Goodcall or Rosie.

AI explained What is an “AI agent,” really? |
| A chatbot answers questions. An AI agent can also do things: book the appointment, look up the order, send the follow-up text. Think of it as a new hire who follows your instructions exactly and works nights. The catch is the same as with a new hire: give it clear rules and only the permissions it needs, and check its work for the first few weeks. |
AI news that matters Intercom launches Fin 4 for agentic customer support |
| Intercom announced Fin 4 on Oct 7. The update makes its customer-support agent more proactive (it can start the conversation), adds Skills so Fin can solve messy problems without a step-by-step script, and ships a new Apex model family for higher resolution rates. Our take: worth a look if you already run support in Intercom or Fin and want the bot to handle more than FAQ replies, but keep a human in the loop on refunds and account changes. Quick tips Three things to try this week |
1. Call yourself after hours. Hear exactly what a customer hears. If it's a full voicemail box, fix that first. 2. Write your top 10 questions down. Hours, prices, service area. Every AI support tool works better when you feed it this list. 3. Set a 5-minute text-back. Most phone apps (including Quo) can auto-text missed callers. It saves more leads than any fancy tool. |
