Privacy policy

ProblemHelperAI helps small businesses find AI tools. This page explains what information we handle and why. Questions or requests: hello@problemhelperai.com.

Visit statistics (no cookies)

We count visits with our own analytics, stored in our own database. It sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics service. For each page view we record:

the page path (without any query string)
the website that referred you, as a domain name only (for example x.com)
campaign tags in the link, if any (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign)
a device type: desktop, mobile or tablet
a visitor id made by one-way hashing your IP address and browser details together with a secret that changes every day

We never store your IP address. The visitor id can't be turned back into an IP address, and because it changes daily it can't follow you from one day to the next. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we don't record your visit at all.

Searches

When you search, we log the search text so we can improve results. Before saving, we strip out anything that looks like an email address or phone number. Searches aren't linked to your name or to the visitor id.

How long we keep it

Visit statistics and the search log are kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically.

Affiliate links and partner cookies

Some links to tool vendors are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click through, the partner's site or its affiliate network may set its own cookies to credit the referral. Those cookies are set by them, on their site, under their privacy policy, not ours. Our own site sets no tracking cookies.

The small notice at the bottom of the page lets you choose. If you choose Decline, links that go through us (addresses starting with /go/) send you to the vendor's plain website address without our referral tags. We can't control what the vendor's own site does after you arrive. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and you can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

If you subscribe, we store your email address, the business type you chose (if any), the date you signed up and confirmed, and your subscription status. Our email provider, Resend, also holds your email address so it can deliver the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away.

Sponsors and payments

Businesses that buy a sponsored listing give us their company name, contact email, tool details and ad text. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe processes payment details under its own privacy policy. We keep a record of which listing was paid for and when, and the Stripe customer and subscription ids.

Sponsor login

Sponsors sign in with a one-time email link. We store only a hashed copy of the link and session tokens, which expire after 15 minutes and 30 days.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent personal information.
We don't use advertising trackers or build advertising profiles.
We don't share personal information except with the services named above (Resend for email, Stripe for payments) and our hosting provider, Render, which runs the site and database.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email hello@problemhelperai.com.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
